Lou Owensby, MSW taught courses in Marriage and Relationships as a faculty member of Queens College in Charlotte, NC as well as having a private psychotherapy practice for 30 years.
 
Dad
 
Dr. Norman Owensby was a family physician for 15 years before going into Psychiatry which he then practiced for 30 years. He served as Director of Human Services at the Charlotte Rehabilitation Hospital in NC and as the staff Psychiatrist for the Pain Clinic in addition to having his private practice in psychiatry.
 

 
Together, Dr. and Mrs. Owensby created a tape series on coping skills with cassette tapes and CD's on subjects such as Relationships, Depression, Leaving Your Past Behind, Stress Reduction, and Pain Management. They also lectured aboard cruise ships on the same topics for many years while they enjoyed lots of ballroom dancing. Today they enjoy playing bridge, watching Tarheel basketball and living with Jon in the foothills of North Carolina's Blue Ridge Mountains.
